Zak and Mel married on the lawns of Littlewood Agapanthus Farm, in the heart of the Adelaide Hills with all its beauty!

How their love story began

Their story began when Zak moved over from England with his family about six years ago and started at the same school as Mel, who had moved from South Africa with her family five years prior. You may think I’m going to tell you that all the stars aligned on the first day Zak stepped foot on the school grounds, but alas, for Zak, that wasn’t quite how it went. They enjoyed a friendship at school and Zak was sure it should be more than just friendship, but Mel was not convinced (despite feeling occasional heart flutters which made her wonder.) They graduated from High School and said their goodbyes. All over red rover.
No…as providence would have it they both began a nursing degree – together! It was during this time that Zak decided it was now or never, and started his not-so-subtle pursuit! After quite the effort, Mel’s heart melted completely…!
On bended knee, with a bridge lined from end to end, with flickering candles (just how romantic is that!), Zak asked Mel to be his wife!
These sweet two cried tears of joy right through their ceremony, hardly getting through their beautiful vows to each other. “No matter what God has in store for us, I promise to be by your side through everything, through all the highs and lows of life…I promise to make the most of every single day that we are together…to be just as spontaneous and in love as when we started dating” (Mel to Zak).

A Littlewood Agapanthus Farm Wedding

At Littlewood Agapanthus Farm we are spoilt for choice at portrait time! There is a large variety of agapanthus, but also fields, willows and even a green lake. ‘Sam the chef’ cooked some delicious wood oven pizzas amongst other goodies, Krispy Kreme came through with their doughnut tower for a wedding cake, and the speeches were enjoyed by all, including Mel’s little sister who gave a cute ‘I love you’ talk read by their good friend, Jayden!

Thank you, Zak and Mel, for such a beautiful, love-filled day!
