K1 Geoff Hardy Wines at Kuitpo, in the Fleurieu Peninsula, was a top venue for family photos with its grand entranceway, tree-lined drive and vines for miles.
Using K1 Wines for family photos was a privilege, as it's generally for weddings and winery guests only. The Hardy's are friends with this family, so they received special permission.
We booked this family photoshoot twice. The first time we arrived just as it started pouring with rain! We decided rescheduling was best, so we met at K1 Geoff Hardy Vineyard several days later. I like to take photos when the sun is low in the sky. Most of the time, this means late afternoon family photoshoots. Of course, this isn't always possible for families with young children, but it did work for this family. It was worth taking photos at this time because an incredible glow came through all the trees along the drive, giving the portraits an ethereal feel.
This blossom was a darling the whole shoot, skipping down the path with her Mum, hugging her dad, her brothers and their big dog and generally being all things cute! I love how she is lightly backlit in this photo giving it an additional glow.
The family used cream and denim as the base colours for their photoshoot wardrobe and included this pretty peach for mother and daughter. I loved the pigtails too. Like, just how cute are pigtails!
