Veale Gardens, on the outskirts of the Adelaide CBD, can make a beautiful backdrop for family photos.
Spread across the world, with a few living in Canada, this family decided to grab the opportunity to get their family photos taken when they were all together. Family photographs are invaluable, so I always try and accommodate people's schedules and needs, even at short notice. We met on a Friday afternoon at Adelaide's Veale Gardens. There is ample space in these beautifully maintained gardens to get family photos.
I'm sure this lovely stone bridge over the creek that runs through the Veale Gardens has had many a family or bridal portrait taken on it as it is at least 50 years old. A random fact: Before Veale Gardens became tendered gardens, it was a place for 3 tennis courts!
Having the creek run through the gardens adds a beautiful reflective element to the photo, as does the arching canopy from the tree in the foreground. It was perfect weather for family photos, with the sun low and golden.
This family have an enlarged print of this photo and put it on their lounge room wall as well as a quality album designed and made by Verity Edgecombe Photography with many of their other images taken on the day as a keepsake of their treasured families.
