On a high hill on the outskirts of McLaren Vale, surrounded by vineyards and fields, is an Australian treasure, White Hill Estate. Micah and Isabella were married under a 170-year-old gum tree and a beautiful arbour crafted by Issy's father, David.
Micah and Issy looked north, south, east and west of Adelaide for the perfect wedding venue. They wanted lovely gardens, trees by water, room for plenty of guests so people wouldn't feel cramped, a country-vintage vibe, and excellent customer service. They found that in White Hill Estate, built in the 1840s by the Oliver family and still owned and maintained by their descendants six generations later.
The wedding morning was overcast, so we took the pre-wedding photos of Micah and the groomsmen at Moana Beach. The sky was painted with the perfect tones to match their day. Issy, bridesmaids and family stayed at White Hill Estate on Friday night in the original homestead. We had fun with them, capturing some moments before the ceremony. Being on-site the morning of the wedding made it calming and relaxed.
Issy is my niece. I don't know if that made me tear up when I first saw her in her gorgeous wedding gown or if it was just because she looked so incredibly beautiful!
It was a delightful wedding day filled with blue skies, beautiful live music, delicious food, incredible florals, thoughtful details, and happy hearts.
